Meeting ONE:
Please add to your wiki Your FIVE colleges AND FIVE majors.
Please include hyperlinks to EACH college AND for EACH major. ALL majors do NOT have to come from the same college. Try to get one (document/pdf file link) major from each college. The "book" is referred to as the COURSE CATALOG. The CC has ALL colleges and majors and requirements for earning each type of degree. Make sure you can access yours from your chosen schools.

Meeting TWO:
A. College Planning for Gifted Students pages, 92, 100, 106 & 108 (Review each page & share your thoughts for each page on your wiki)
B. Choose one major and note the difference in the credit hours required for the SAME major and degree for three schools from meeting one. Get this information from your online course catalogs from meeting one above.
Example:
For FAU a Biology Major must complete 160 credits to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
For FIU a Biology Major must complete 180 credits to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
For UP a Biology Major must complete 170 credits to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Meeting THREE:
Check the ADMISSIONS page of your chosen colleges to help you answer the following:
What are the costs associated with college?
Choose one school & add the following to your wiki:
1. Cost for living on campus with NO roomates.
2. Cost for meal plan - Sunday - Saturday & holidays.
3. Cost per credit hour. (What is the cost for your chosen major per year)
4. How much would books cost (usually under new students or even the campus online bookstore) per semester?

*What are GRANTS, LOANS & SCHOLARSHIPS? Which do YOU qualify for and why? Go to College 411, ZINCH for more information.

Meeting FOUR:
Take a "virtual" tour of two campuses.
Share your thoughts on TWO different areas ON campus. What is YOUR first impression? How could a visit change or shape your decision to attend this school?

Meeting FIVE:
Survey two different college applications.
What are your top 5 questions about them?

A:
Do you know someone in college now? INTERVIEW them and ask them the following:
What are FIVE (or more) things that they wish that they were told BEFORE they went to college?
What are the TOP FIVE MYTHS about college?
HOW did high school classes such as honors or AP help prepare them for college?

B:
NETWORK and get in touch with someone who is working in your chosen career field. INTERVIEW them (via email or over the phone or in person if your family knows them - church or family member perhaps?) and ask them the following:
What college MAJORS are a good foundation for their career?
What high school COURSES are important for future college and career success?
What are the FIVE most important things to know/consider/do if entering into this a field as a career? (IE - responsibilities, daily routine, licensure requirements, upward mobility.....)
